The Brix level of 10.2 is no joke—these are hands down the sweetest melons I've grown. Even with our short season, the compact vines produced ripe fruit early.

We just picked our first Sugar Baby watermelon at 78 days, and it was incredible. The flesh was deep red and measured exactly as sweet as promised, with that compact size making it easy to handle. My kids couldn't stop eating it straight from the garden.

Planted these in early June and had ripe melons by late August, which felt fast for anything this sweet. The compact vines didn’t sprawl over half the garden like I feared, and at 10.2 Brix, every slice tasted like pure sugar without being cloying. Definitely my go-to variety next year.
