خشخاش 'حقل فلاندرز'

They popped up about a week earlier than I expected, which was a nice surprise for that first bit of spring colour. The petals have that rich, velvety red that really stands out in the garden.

I planted these in a sunny patch and they were some of the first blooms to appear in my garden this spring. The deep red petals are just as vivid as I remember from childhood, and they've held up beautifully through a few light frosts.

The tiny seeds germinated quickly and now I have a stunning patch of red poppies swaying in the breeze. They bloomed early this spring, just like the description said they would.
