Pea 'Franks' Pea' (C. 1853) (Organic)

Harvested the first snap peas today and they were crisp and sweet raw, then let a batch mature and shelled them for dinner—perfect both ways. The vines grew so vigorously that they quickly covered the trellis, which was honestly more than I expected.

Harvested the first snap peas just 8 weeks after sowing — tender and sweet right off the vine. The mature shelling peas were just as good, plump and full of flavor.

I've never seen such beautiful mauve flowers on a pea plant—they're almost as good as the crop. The snap peas are crisp and sweet when young, then turn into a hearty shelling pea as they mature. Definitely a versatile heirloom that earns its place in the garden.
