수박 'Cream of Saskatchewan'(유기농)

The thin skin is exactly what I needed for our short Pacific Northwest summer—every single melon ripened on the vine before the first frost. Harvested six good-sized watermelons from just five plants, and the flesh was incredibly sweet with that classic creamy texture.

I planted these in my zone 4 garden and was shocked they actually produced ripe melons by late August. The thin skin made them easy to tell when ready, and the flesh was sweet without being cloying.

I've grown watermelons in my short-season garden before with no luck, but these 'Cream of Saskatchewan' actually produced ripe fruit by late August. The thin skin really does seem to help them finish in cooler weather.
