캘리포니아 양귀비 '골든 웨스트'

Planted these in a sunny, dry patch of the garden where nothing else would grow, and they're absolutely thriving. The contrast between the bright yellow flowers and that silvery blue-grey foliage is stunning.

The deep yellow against the blue-grey foliage is even prettier in person, and these seeds sprouted quickly in my neglected soil. Tough as boots is right—they're thriving with barely any fuss from me.

Tucked these seeds into a sunny patch of poor soil and they exploded into golden blooms within weeks. The color is an incredibly vivid, true deep yellow that stands out beautifully against the gray-green leaves. Exactly the tough, cheerful wildflower I wanted for a low-maintenance spot.
