My kids were fascinated by the way these lumpy red fruits seem to stack on top of each other, and the "tear apart" trick kept them entertained for hours. It's such a fun, weird plant to grow, and the flavor is surprisingly sweet and rich.

The whole “tear it apart piece by piece” thing actually works—I broke off a chunk on a hike and ate it right there, zero mess. The taste is classic tomato, sweet and a bit tangy, and the weird fused shape makes every slice look like a tiny abstract painting.

I was skeptical about the looks at first, but the way each piece pulls apart without a knife is surprisingly practical. Plant has been vigorous and productive in a large pot.
