クロタネソウ 'マルベリーローズ'

I'm so glad I picked up these seeds—the delicate rosy pink flowers already starting to appear above the fine, feathery foliage are even prettier than the picture. The balloon-shaped seed heads forming after the blooms are a lovely bonus, and they really do take just about 8 weeks to start flowering.

The balloon-shaped seed heads are the star after the rosy blooms fade—they dried on the stem and looked gorgeous in a vase for weeks. Eight weeks to flowers felt spot-on, and it reseeded itself without any fuss from me.

Sowed these in a sunny corner and by week eight the first rosy pink blooms appeared, exactly as promised. The plumy foliage is finer than I expected and the balloon seed heads are a lovely bonus for dried arrangements. They've already self-seeded, so next year should be even fuller.
