ヘリクリサム 'シルバリーローズ'

These pastel icicle blooms popped open about three weeks after sowing and have been a constant showstopper in my garden ever since. The flowers face the sky just like described, giving a cool, silvery look that somehow lasts all summer without fading.

I was a bit skeptical about a flower called "paper flower" but these seeds produced sturdy little blooms that held their shape through a few summer rainstorms. The silvery-pastel color really lifted the front of my border and kept going strong until the first frost.

Planted these in early spring and by mid-July the 'Silvery Rose' helichrysum was covered in those pastel paper-like blooms that face the sky. The flowers held their shape and color right through the hottest weeks without any fuss.
