These are the first beans I've grown from an heirloom variety, and the 15cm pods are beautiful and easy to pick. I've already used a handful in a soup and they held their shape perfectly.

I harvested my first batch of snap beans just 55 days after planting, and the 15cm long pods were incredibly tender with no strings. They held up perfectly in a slow-simmered soup too, exactly as the description promised. This heirloom really earns its keep as a dual-purpose bean.

These things are incredibly productive for a bush bean; I’m already getting plenty of 6-inch pods for snapping. Will definitely try drying the rest for soup later.
