Baby Broccoli 'Happy Rich' f1

I've been picking these for three weeks straight and they just keep coming — the leaves steam up perfectly in about two minutes. Harvesting the stems before the flowers open really stretches the crop, which is exactly what I need in my small patch.

The stems are surprisingly tender even when the heads are almost ready to flower, and picking them small really does extend the harvest by weeks. My compact raised bed is perfect for this variety.

I stir-fried the stems and leaves last night and was really impressed by how tender they were. The compact size fits perfectly in my small raised bed, and I love that I can harvest the flowers too.
