西瓜 'Blacktail Mountain' (有機)

I planted these in my short-season garden on a whim, and the first watermelon ripened in just 68 days. The fruit was sweet and perfectly sized for two people.

I was skeptical a watermelon could thrive in my cool Pacific Northwest summer, but these Blacktail Mountain seeds produced healthy vines and a surprisingly sweet, 8-pound fruit by early August.

These sprouted quickly even in my short growing season, and the fruit has that perfect sweet flavor. Definitely the earliest watermelon I've ever harvested.
