The rhizome arrived perfectly packed and already showing tiny green shoots. I was shocked at how much more intense and complex the flavour is compared to the fake stuff from the supermarket—just a tiny grate makes my nose tingle properly.

I’ve been wanting real wasabi for ages, and this plant’s leaves already have that authentic kick. The roots are slowly thickening, which makes me hopeful for a genuine harvest.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the plant grew in a small pot on my kitchen windowsill, and the fresh wasabi has a sharp, clean heat that store-bought pastes just can't match. The flavor is noticeably more complex and intense than the horseradish-based imposters.
