My salsa verde finally tastes authentic—these purple tomatillos have that perfect tangy-sweet balance. The seedlings grew vigorously and are already loaded with fruit.

These little purple tomatillos are absolutely thriving in my garden; each plant is a heavy cropper just as promised. I already made a huge batch of salsa verde that tastes much sweeter and more complex than store-bought tomatillos.

I was surprised how many fruits just one plant produced—easily enough for salsa verde all summer. The deep purple color when ripe is gorgeous and the flavor is noticeably sweeter than the green tomatillos I’ve grown before.
