星花輪鋒菊 '鼓棒'

The pale blue blooms are so soft and pretty in person, and I love how the stems hold up for cutting. Watching those star-shaped flowers turn into the drumstick seed heads has been the highlight of my border this summer.

Those dried seed heads are just as charming as the pale blue flowers—they add such a unique texture to fall arrangements. I’m already planning to save some seeds for next year’s garden.

Planted these in a sunny spot and the pale blue flowers are gorgeous, but I'm really here for those star-shaped seed heads—they dry beautifully for winter arrangements.
