The icy bumps on these leaves are so realistic looking, my dinner guests thought I’d frozen a garnish. A few sprigs on grilled salmon gave it that perfect salty pop without extra seasoning.

I’m already snipping little salty leaves to finish grilled fish—they really do look like tiny ice crystals. The prostrate habit spreads nicely in a sunny pot, making it both useful and ornamental.
