覆盆子 '紫'

I planted these in a sunny spot and was amazed at how quickly they established. The berries have an intense, sweet-tart flavor that's unlike any ordinary raspberry. They're incredibly juicy too, perfect for eating fresh off the vine.

The berries came out a deep purple, almost black, and way sweeter than the red raspberries I used to grow. Picked a full bowl the first week of July and they didn't last two days.

I've been impressed with how vigorous this hybrid is — it's already outgrowing my other raspberry canes in just one season. The deep purple fruit has a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, bursting with juice that stains your fingers.
