金蓮花 '紫帝王'

The color is so deep and velvety, it’s unlike any nasturtium I’ve grown before. I’ve already spotted several butterflies stopping by, and the flowers look stunning against the dark leaves.

The bees have been absolutely non-stop on these flowers, which is exactly what I was hoping for. And I love that the blooms and leaves are edible, so I can throw a few into salads straight from the garden.

The deep purple blooms are so unusual—they actually look almost smoky in the afternoon light. I’ve had bees on them every single morning, and the edible flowers have a nice peppery bite that’s been a fun addition to salads.
