生菜 '大湖'

I planted these in late June and they thrived while my other lettuce bolted. The heads formed tight and crisp, perfect for summer salads. Definitely a keeper for hot climates.

The crunch on these leaves is unreal, even in the middle of a hot stretch when my other greens gave up. Heads stay tight and slow to bolt, so I’m picking fresh for weeks.

The heads are forming nicely even through this July heatwave, just as promised with that slow-to-bolt trait. The crunch on the first harvest was exactly what I was hoping for from an iceberg type.
