I've been enjoying how quickly my Jostaberry is filling in as a hedge—no thorns at all, which makes pruning so much easier. The blackcurrant-gooseberry hybrid is a unique flavor I hadn't tried before, and the fruit production this first summer has been impressive.

Just got this in the ground for a hedge row, and the fact it’s thornless makes it a winner already. Can’t wait to see if it really holds up to the fruiting promise, but the canes look sturdy enough.

Planted three of these as a hedge last spring and they've already doubled in size. The fact that they're completely thornless makes pruning and harvesting so much easier than my gooseberry bushes.
