I’ve been drying these strawflowers for arrangements and they hold their color beautifully even weeks later. The fact they’re an heirloom variety from 1799 makes them feel special to grow.

These are proper old-fashioned everlastings—the blooms keep their color and shape even after they're dried, which is exactly what I wanted for a winter vase. Knowing they’ve been grown since 1799 made planting them feel like a little piece of history in my garden.

Planted these in a sunny spot and they’re already sprouting, which is faster than I expected. It’s nice to grow something with such a long history—over 200 years of cultivation. The dried flowers should make great everlastings for winter arrangements.
