無花果 '挖掘者紫心'

This fig variety has lovely purple-toned leaves that really stand out in the garden. I appreciate that it comes from a cutting with some history behind it, feels like planting a piece of Victoria's heritage.

Planted this in a sunny spot and it’s already pushing out new growth after just two weeks. The cutting was healthy and firm, with a nice root system. Perfect for anyone looking to add a tough, heritage fig variety to their garden.

The cutting rooted quickly and is already pushing out new leaves, which I wasn't expecting so soon. The fact it has a documented history from a Diggers member's farm in Alexandra makes it feel like a piece of living heritage. I'm excited to see how the purple heart figs turn out next season.
