菊苣 '紅特雷維索'

These sprouted quickly in my seed starting setup, and the first leaves already have that beautiful deep burgundy color. Looking forward to adding that crisp, slightly bitter bite to my fall salads.

The colour is exactly as described—those deep burgundy leaves really pop in the garden. They’ve got that crisp, slightly bitter bite that makes a salad feel more interesting, though I wish the germination rate had been a touch higher.

I was hoping for a deeper red, but the burgundy color still stands out nicely against my other greens. The leaves have that crisp bite I expected from an Italian heirloom, perfect for adding texture to salads.
