茄子 'Slim Jim'

The deep purple cocktail fruits are gorgeous in the garden, and we loved grilling them on the BBQ straight off the vine. At 13 weeks from transplant, we got a solid 2.4kg harvest from just two plants.

I was worried about space, but these cocktail-sized eggplants fit perfectly in a small raised bed. We’ve already grilled a couple from the first harvest, and they’re delicious.

The plants look stunning in my garden bed with those deep purple leaves, and the harvest lived up to the promise—I got a solid 2.4kg off just a few plants. Slicing them thin and grilling on the BBQ turned out smoky and sweet, exactly what I was hoping for.
