火龍果 '洋紅'

It’s a striking plant even before it fruits, and the climbing habit makes it a real conversation piece on my trellis. Already seeing new growth on the cutting, and the magenta fruit shape alone was worth the buy for a hot-climate garden.

Planted this cutting in a large pot by our south-facing wall, and it's already throwing out new growth after just two weeks. The stem segments are firm and a healthy deep magenta — exactly what I was hoping for.
