大波斯菊 '紅色炫目'

Planted these in a mixed border and the red-pink blooms have been non-stop since mid-July, even through a heatwave. The packet of 120 seeds gave me plenty to fill a whole sunny bed.

Blooming like crazy even in my sandy soil, these cosmos are definitely living up to their name. The red-pink flower heads are so vivid they stop you in your tracks every time you walk past.

The 120 seeds in the packet are plenty for a big border, and the germination rate was solid for me. I just wish the red-pink blooms lasted a bit longer before fading, but the overall display is still striking through the summer heat.
