三葉草 '達爾基斯'

I planted these in early autumn as a cover crop, and they've handled the cooler weather beautifully. The nitrogen fixation is already making a noticeable difference in my soil quality.

Tucked the seeds into the soil just before the first frost, and the clover knit together nicely over the damp months. Already seeing fewer weeds in that bed, and the soil feels looser when I dig. Looking forward to turning it under for summer mulch.

Sowed it in late autumn and by spring the bed was a thick green mat that smothered the weeds completely. It died back just as my summer beans went in, and the soil underneath was noticeably darker and crumbly.
