胡蘿蔔 '聖瓦萊里'

Was a bit wary of heirlooms being fussy, but these carrots came up reliably and the long tapering roots are exactly what the description promised. The broad neck makes them easy to grab when harvesting, which I appreciate after years of snapping off tops. Already planning a second row for fall.

The broad neck on these carrots makes them so much easier to peel than the skinny supermarket ones. I can already tell the flavor will be worth the wait based on how healthy the tops look.

These seeds germinated quickly and the plants have been incredibly reliable, just as described. The long, tapering orange-red roots are already looking beautiful in my garden. I’m so glad I picked this French heirloom variety.
