高麗菜 '紅鼓頭'

I tossed these seeds into a fall garden bed for color, and the way the red heads pop against the blue leaves is unreal. Used a few outer leaves for a quick slaw and they were surprisingly tender with a nice bite. Great for adding both looks and substance to the plot.

The blue leaves are even more striking in person than I expected, contrasting beautifully with the red head. I braised a head with some butter and it came out incredibly sweet and tender.

These fermented into a beautiful magenta kraut with a surprisingly mild, sweet flavor. The blue leaves and red head really do look stunning in the garden while you wait.
