藍色蕾絲花

Cut a few stems for a vase last week and they arranged beautifully—the lacy powder blue umbels really hold their shape indoors. They sprouted fast in a sunny, well-drained corner, which made starting them from seed a breeze.

The first batch sprouted within a week in my well-drained soil, and the powder blue lace blooms lasted nearly two weeks in a vase. They really do look like old-fashioned pincushions up close.

The lacy blue flowers look exactly like tiny pincushions, which is such a charming detail. They’ve been thriving in my warm, well-drained soil and even lasted over a week as cut flowers in a vase. I’m already planning to sow more next season.
