Planted these in late spring and the germination rate was fantastic, every single seed took off. The fact that this variety came from an Italian gardener's original seed stock makes me feel like I'm growing a piece of history here in my own veggie patch.

I was curious how these would handle our cool Melbourne spring, but the vines are already loaded with flat, tender beans. The story behind this seed donation program makes them feel extra special to grow.

Germinated in just four days, which was quicker than I expected, and the vines are already climbing strong. The heritage story from the Italian gardener adds a nice touch, but the real win is how sturdy the plants feel in our veggie patch.
