Picked the first blossoms last week for stuffing with ricotta, and the plants are already pushing out more flowers than I can keep up with. The fruit size at 15-20cm is perfect for slicing into summer salads.

Lucy ★★★★★ Oct 21, 2026

Planted these in my raised bed and they germinated within a week, just as the packet promised. The fruit is tender and perfect at about 18cm, and I love that I can also use the flowers for stuffing.

I’ve grown these for two seasons now, and the way the fruits hold their deep green color right up to 20cm is what keeps me coming back. Stuffing the blossoms with ricotta and frying them was the best use of the harvest all summer.
