Category: Plants

A high-yielding European heirloom variety from the 19th century, producing soft pink strawberries that taste like a mix of bubblegum and berry. This 16th century heirloom increased in popularity in the 1900s and was referenced in Jane Austen's novel 'Emma' by its other name - Haute Bois. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by insects.

Ryan Y. ★★★★★

Planted these in a sunny spot and they're already putting out more pink berries than I expected for the first year. The soft pink color is gorgeous in the garden, and that bubblegum-taste really is spot-on.

Jason I. ★★★★★

The bubblegum-and-berry flavor is genuinely unique—tastes nothing like standard grocery store strawberries. My first harvest surprised me with how many runners these 19th-century plants produced.

Thomas ★★★★★

Planted three of these in early spring and the yield is honestly ridiculous for such compact plants. The berries come out that soft pink shade and the bubblegum-berry taste is exactly as described, though I'd say it's more like a subtle candy sweetness.
