Pumpkin 'Jarrahdale' - Main image

Category: Seeds

Growing and fruiting well, even in the cold climate at The Garden of St Erth, this flavoursome pumpkin is a cross between two popular pumpkins- the Blue Hubbard and Cinderella pumpkins. Named after the town in Western Australia where it was born, 'Jarrahdale' is somewhat similar to Queensland Blue in colour, but with mildly sweeter flesh. Easy to cut and keep. Perfect for those in cooler areas of Australia.

Kevin F. ★★★★★

The seedlings handled a surprising late frost without any damage, which is exactly what I needed for my short growing season. The flesh is dense and sweet when roasted, much better than the bland grocery store varieties.

Sebastian K. ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly these seeds germinated even in our short growing season. The cross between Blue Hubbard and Cinderella gives the fruit a beautiful blue-grey skin and dense, sweet flesh that stores for months.

The cold-climate resilience is the real selling point here—my patch sits in a frost pocket, and these vines still set fruit like champs. The Jarrahdale’s cross of Blue Hubbard and Cinderella shows in the thick, blue-grey skin that stores for months without turning mushy.
