Category: Seeds

Definitely our most beautiful pea, the pretty pink flowers are followed by dark bluish-purple pods that conceal the bright green, plump peas. Also known as Capucijner peas, these are a favourite amongst the Dutch. Believed to have been grown by Capuchin monks in the 16th century these are the best variety for drying and using in soups. Yields 280g per plant.

Julian M. ★★★★★

The dark purple pods are such a striking contrast against the green vines, and they shell easily to reveal perfectly sweet peas. I’ve already harvested twice as many as I expected from just one sowing.

James M. ★★★★★

The peas inside are a beautiful bright green that pops against the dark pods, and they taste incredibly sweet right off the vine. I love how easy these are to spot when picking—no more hunting through green leaves.

Timothy H. ★★★★★

Those purple pods really stand out in the garden, and the peas inside are sweet and tender. I’ve been picking them for salads and stir-fries for weeks now—definitely my favorite pea variety this season.
