Category: Plants

Rich red skinned-fruit with flesh to match hang from this spiny climbing epiphytic cactus. The best cross-pollinator to improve the yields of other species of dragon fruit. The fruit is very high in the antioxidant lycopene, and this variety is the best for juicing. Fruit appears after pollination of the nocturnal flowers in early summer. Try growing against a north facing wall for radiant heat, especially in cooler climates. Water regularly during summer, less in winter and the cooler months. Allow fruit to ripen on the plant prior to harvest. Best grown on a rose hoop.

Zoe ★★★★★

The deep red flesh is just as vibrant as the skin, and I've already seen it help my other dragon fruit varieties produce more flowers. It's a vigorous grower that adapted quickly to its pot.

Kevin ★★★★★

The spiny cactus arrived in great shape and is already putting out new growth. I’m using it as a cross-pollinator for my other dragon fruit plants, and the flowers are just starting to form. It’s a solid, healthy plant that’s exactly what my garden needed.

Carter ★★★★★

I was surprised how quickly the spiny cactus established itself in a bright corner of my porch. The red flesh on this one is so vibrant, and it's already helping my other dragon fruit set more fruit.
