A lettuce that is also used a celery - strange but true. This ancient Chinese vegetable is much sought-after by those that know it, branded 'the next big thing' in Epicurious, so get ahead of the curve with this new (to the west anyway) vegetable. Grow and harvest young leaves as a lettuce then cut the succulent stems when they run to seed, reaching 30-40cm high.

Lily ★★★★★

Planted these last month and they're already a foot tall with thick, crisp stalks that taste exactly like a cross between celery and lettuce. The germination rate was excellent, every seed sprouted within a week. Perfect for anyone who wants an unusual but easy-to-grow green.

Andrew ★★★★★

I was skeptical about a lettuce that tastes like celery, but these seeds sprouted quickly and the flavor is exactly as described. The seedlings were vigorous and I'm already harvesting tender stems for stir-fries.

Scarlett Q. ★★★★★

Finally, a seed that actually lives up to the hype—these germinated in under a week with no fuss. The stems have that perfect crunch, just like Epicurious promised. I'm already planning my second planting.
