Dianthus carthusianorum works well in modern gardens with its eye catching colour and elegant structure. Well suited to cottage style and natural gardens, borders and beds, dry gardens and rockeries. Carthusian Pink has the same see-through quality as the popular Verbena bonariensis. Dianthus carthusianorum was named to commemorate the monks of the Carthusian order, founded in the 11th century in the Chartreuse Valley in the French Alps.

Scarlett Z. ★★★★★

Planted these in my rock garden last month and the tall stems with those vivid pink blooms are already creating a lovely contrast against the grey stones. They’ve handled the dry, sunny spot perfectly without any fuss.

Ella D. ★★★★★

Those tall stems with the tiny pink blooms add such a delicate, airy feel to my border. They've handled the heatwave without any drooping, which I really wasn't expecting from something that looks so fragile.

Evelyn F. ★★★★★

Planted these in a dry, sunny spot and they’ve already sent up those slender stems with vivid pink flowers — exactly the modern, airy look I wanted for my rock garden.
