Category: Seeds

A bean that's actually a pea, these tender annuals produce long stingless pods, usually between 30-60cm in length. Harvest as the pod begins to firm and the beans inside become visible from the outside (about 2 weeks after flowering). Popular in the Tropics and Sub-Tropics where they can be grown year round, water regularly in southern areas. Stake at sowing. Harvest in 12-15 weeks. Yields around 200 grams per plant.

Ellie L. ★★★★★

These pods are getting huge, already over 30cm and still tender without any stringiness. I harvested the first batch yesterday and they stir-fried up perfectly, just as the description said they would.

James ★★★★☆

I was a bit skeptical about beans that are actually peas, but these Yard Long pods really do reach 30-60cm as described. The pods are tender and stingless, making them easy to harvest once the beans start showing through. Only giving 4 stars because a few seeds didn't germinate.

Miles ★★★★☆

The pods really do get impressively long, and they stay tender with no strings, which is exactly what I wanted. They took a bit to germinate in the cool soil, but once they took off, they produced for weeks. Just wish I’d planted more of them.
