Category: Seeds

A compact, low-growing bush bean developed by David Marray, and generously donated by a Diggers member in 2015. ‘Ann Michelle’ is a semi-veining bean with distinctive red seeds, selected for its high protein content and versatility in the kitchen. While it can be shelled and eaten fresh like a traditional “shell bean,” it also performs beautifully as a dry bean – ideal for soups, stews, or long slow cooking once the seed has fully matured and dried.

Violet E. ★★★★★

The red seeds were such a striking surprise when I opened the packet, and the plants stayed nice and compact as promised. After about two months, I harvested a generous handful of tender beans from each little bush.

Edward ★★★★★

Those red seeds are so pretty, and I love that it's a semi-veining bean — adds a nice rustic look to my garden. Harvested my first batch yesterday, and the flavor is wonderfully fresh.

Samuel M. ★★★★★

The compact bush habit is perfect for my small raised bed, and I love how the distinctive red seeds add a pop of color before the plants even flower.
