I’ve been picking ripe ones well into late summer while my other canes are done, which really stretches the harvest season. The fruit has that deep, complex flavor you expect from a marionberry–boysenberry cross.

These berries are noticeably slower to ripen than my other caneberries, which is perfect for keeping fresh fruit coming well into late summer. The plants arrived healthy and are already showing good growth in their second week. Exactly what I needed to extend my harvest season.

I planted these alongside my regular blackberries and was so glad for the later harvest—they kept us in fresh berries for a whole extra two weeks. The flavor is noticeably richer than standard boysenberries, with a perfect balance of sweet and tart.
