I was pleasantly surprised how quickly this thermometer gives a steady reading—just a few seconds in the soil. The probe is thin enough not to disturb delicate seedling roots, which was my main worry. Now I know exactly when my cuttings are warm enough to thrive.

I've been using this thermometer to check my cuttings and the thin probe slides into the soil without disturbing the roots. It gives a clear reading within seconds, which has already saved a few delicate seedlings from cold soil.
