エリンジウム 'ブルーシーホリー'

Even in my heavy clay soil this plant has thrived, and those unique colorful stems add a great structural element to the garden. The only thing I need to remember is to give it a little stake support when it gets tall.

Planted these in a sunny spot with poor soil and they’ve thrived without any staking at all. The spiky blue flowers have kept their color through two weeks of heatwave.

I was worried the stems would flop over in my garden, but they stayed perfectly upright even after a heavy rain. The spiky blue flowers are such a unique shape and add a cool architectural look to the border.
